It can be used in both indoor and outdoor containers and greenhouses.
To be buried at least 1/3 of its height (5/6 cm) for containers or greenhouses with a shallow depth of soil or up to the neck (15cm) like an Ollas-ORIGIN® if the thickness of soil allows it .
For indoor greenhouses with or without lamps, take into account the evapotranspiration of the greenhouse's plant cover and do not hesitate to open one or more leaves if it is equipped with them.

The porosity of the Ollas Mini-Greenhouse is intended for plants requiring a lot of water or little in a hot and dry environment. It is not suitable for plants without water or little water in an atmosphere that is too humid.
- Planting in the ground/bed or in a container/pot?
- Indoor or outdoor planting? In recent summers, the substrates of container/pot plants very often exceed 50°C when they are positioned outdoors on urbanized surfaces. The substrates used for indoor plants retain less water than open ground and are subject to a drier environment all year round.
- Type of soil: Sandy or Vegetable = draining or Clay-limestone = retains more water. Variation difference will be +/-20%.
- Dry or temperate climate
- Type of plant requiring a lot, little or no water as for xeriscaping
- As an indication, the Ollas MINI-GREENHOUSE® of 0.8 liters has an autonomy of 5/8 days and 0.2 m² of irrigation surface.
- Make a hole the size of the Ollas, put the Ollas in the center and bury it.
- Positioning: The spacing between the Ollas and the plants to be irrigated depends on its radius of action, the climatic conditions and the type of soil.
If Outdoor Operation:
- Wet the hole and water the earth around it, as for a plant. To be done once, only when installing it. This makes it possible to quickly start the water conductivity of the Ollas action zone.
- Recommendations: put around the Ollas a mixture of soil and compost, make a mulch to optimize the effectiveness of the Ollas and limit evaporation.
- Fill the Ollas with water, sprinkle the soil around it and place the lid of the Ollas.
- At the end of the season (during the wintering period) we advise not to fill the Ollas except for citrus fruits and plants bet (placed) under cover.
If Indoor Operation:
- Put the Ollas MINI GREENHOUSE in the hole and do not water the soil around it. Its shape and specific porosity are sufficient to quickly start the water conductivity of the Ollas action zone.
- For greenhouses or shallow containers, the Ollas Mini-GREENHOUSE must be buried at least 5 cm or up to the neck if the thickness of the soil allows it.
- Fill the Ollas with water, and place the lid of the Ollas.
If the Ollas MINI-GREENHOUSE® are outside, they are not afraid of frost, it is not necessary to remove them from their location.
However, in the event of severe and continuous frost, do not fill or leave water in the Ollas.
Put on the protective hat to prevent the cold from entering more intensely. For optimal safety against very cold weather, cover them with mulch.
To have room to house the Ollas between the edge of the pot and the plant, do not hesitate to cut roots. The roots will reform on the Ollas and thus optimize the efficiency.
