9 months of research and testing in 2019 by Poterie JAMET to guarantee the technical qualities of the ceramic, in accordance with the requirements of plant professionals, in particular for ease of series connection and increased resistance at the neck.
Ollas-JAMET irrigation ceramics are registered with the INPI and their irrigation performance has been verified by ASTREDHOR Pays de Loire, plant technical center.

Measurements by ASTREDHOR
The water and time savings provided by the Ollas-JAMET® have been measured by the independent technical center ASTREDHOR Pays de Loire 49, (National Association of Horticultural Experimentation and Demonstration Structures).
Irrigation tests, in 2021 for 6 months, by Ollas Jamet showed the following results compared to other irrigation systems (Sparkling, Drip, Watering Can, etc.):
- Increased biomass from 250% to +500%.
- 75% to 88% reduction in water consumption.
- Reduction in watering time 3/8 times faster depending on network installation and Ollas model
- Decrease in hooping (weeding) observed but not measured.

Instructions for use / installation
- Make a hole of the size of the chosen Ollas + room for the vertical and horizontal connecting pipes.
- Wet the hole and water the soil around it, as for a plant. To be done once, only during installation. This makes it possible to quickly start the water conductivity of the Ollas action zone.
- Place the Ollas in the center and bury it completely with its pipes and connection accessories.
- For assemblies in horizontal series, provide 2 pipes of 40mm diameter to be placed vertically at the beginning and end of the entire network to be connected:
- 1 at start for water supply inlet
- 1 at the outlet for the evacuation of air during filling and as a water outlet indicator at the end of the filling of all the Ollas-SPELEOs connected in series
- Fill the Ollas-SPELEOs with water, through the water inlet/inlet pipe of the assembly to be connected. When the water spurts out from the other air evacuation rod/excess water outlet, all of the connected Ollas SPELEOs are full.
- Positioning: The spacing between the Ollas and the plants to be irrigated depends on the size of the Ollas, its radius of action (see the table of characteristics), the climatic conditions and the type of soil.
- Example: for a medium-sized Ollas No. 6, the spacing varies between 1m and up to 3/5 meters for creeping crops.
- Remember that the roots are always pointing towards the wet area.
- Increase the volume of the Ollas for a very dry climate, a soil favoring the natural flow of water and/or plants requiring a lot of water.
- Decrease the volume of the Ollas for a temperate climate, soil that retains water, and plants that don't need a lot of water or are intended for xeriscaping.
The Ollas-JAMET® are not afraid of frost, it is not necessary to remove them from their location.
- Do not fill them at the beginning of winter
- During the winter period, let your connected Ollas SPELEO network empty and do not fill it.
